Alexa | A Theatrical Fairytale In Forest Park

Alexa chose Forest Park for her senior pictures, with The Muny being one of her top must-have spots. Since theater is one of her greatest passions, it was the perfect first stop. We captured some stunning images of Alexa walking under the grand chandelier and standing in the rotunda among the posters for the upcoming season, a beautiful way to embrace her love of the stage. Just across the street, the pagoda was surrounded by a spring explosion of color, from blooming trees to tall stalks of flowers. One of my favorite "fairytale" moments was finding a patch of purple flowers by the lake where Alexa sat among the blooms, creating a scene straight out of a storybook.

From there, we headed to the lake basin at Art Hill for sunset photos by the water. We found even more spring color nearby, allowing Alexa to pose among the flower patches and lean against the blossoming trees. We ended the session walking the path by the lake, discovering some tall purple bushes in full bloom that paired perfectly with her cap and gown. The soft light of blue hour set in just as we finished, giving her final portraits a peaceful, ethereal feel. Scroll down to see all the magic from Alexa's theater-inspired session!
