Your session is entirely about you, your personality, your hobbies, and the places that make you feel most like yourself. That’s why I don't believe in "one size fits all" photography. I tailor every experience individually to each of my seniors to ensure the process is as simple as it is fun. Let’s take a deep dive into what you can expect from our first consultation call to the day your final gallery is delivered!

The Session Timeline

  • Step 1: Consultation & Styling

    This is where we dream up your session! We’ll chat about your vibe, hobbies, and locations, from the urban energy of the St. Louis Metro to local spots in West County. I’ll help you pick the perfect senior package and suggest props to match your style. Once we pick a date, I’ll send your contract and invoice that night to get you officially on the books!

  • Step 2: Welcome to the Family

    Once your retainer is paid, your date is set in stone! To celebrate, you’ll receive my exclusive Amanda Photography Senior Magazine. It’s packed with outfit inspiration, pro tips on what to expect, a session-day checklist, and creative prop ideas to help you prep for your big day.

  • Step 3: The Two-Week Check-In

    About 14 days before we meet, I’ll head into your inbox with a reminder email. This isn’t just a "see you soon,” it’s filled with last-minute prep tips and a sneak peek at the high-end products (like custom albums and canvas) I offer so you can start thinking about how to display your favorite shots.

  • Step 4: Final Investment

    We are one week out! At this point, your final payment is due. Staying on top of this ensures your session date remains secured so we can focus entirely on the fun stuff, capturing your awesome senior pictures!

  • Step 5: The Night Before

    The day before your session, I’ll send you a quick text to confirm we’re still "all systems go." We’ll double-check the weather and I’ll send over the exact GPS address for our meeting spot so your travel is stress-free.

  • Step 6: Your Session Day!

    It’s finally here! Grab your gassed-up car, your outfits, and any accessories that express who you are. We’ll spend the day capturing your personality at the fantastic location(s) we’ve picked out. My goal is to make you feel like a star while we create images that truly pop.

  • Step 7: The Editing Magic

    Now you get to sit back and relax. While you focus on school and sports, I’ll be working my magic behind the scenes. I hand-select the most flattering images and perform professional retouching, clearing up blemishes or stray hairs, to ensure you look polished while keeping your look authentic.

  • Step 8: Your Gallery Reveal

    The wait is over! In less than 3 weeks, you’ll receive a link to your private, online gallery. You’ll have 3 months of access to view and share your professional senior portraits with all your friends and family.

  • Step 9: Download & Print

    This is the best part. Based on your package, you can download your high-resolution favorites to share all over social media. Want something tangible? You can easily order professional-grade albums, canvases, and framed portraits directly through your gallery to keep these memories forever.

Don’t let the Missouri weather stress you out! I keep a close eye on the forecast leading up to your date. If it’s looking like a washout, we will reschedule or bump your session time up to ensure we get those perfect, dry outdoor shots we planned for.

Bonus Tip: If it’s just a light drizzle, we can still hold your session and take fun, unique photos of you with a clear umbrella or dancing in the rain!

Can I bring a friend, relative, or a pet?
