Girls:

1.       Floral Maxi Dress - Nothing screams spring more than a pastel, flowy, floral maxi dress. It's a timeless and effortless look that will make you stand out in your senior pictures. Pair it with a denim jacket and some strappy sandals for a boho-chic vibe.

2.       Pastel Blouse and White Jeans - For a more classic and feminine look, opt for a pastel-colored blouse paired with white jeans. This outfit is perfect for a springtime shoot in a park or garden. Add a pair of nude heels or wedges to elevate the look.

3.       Romper with Ankle Boots - Rompers are a great choice for a fun and playful look. Choose one in white or light blue with stripes and layer it with a leather jacket for an edgy touch. Finish off the outfit with some ankle boots.

4.       Off-Shoulder Top and Midi Skirt - If you want to show off your shoulders, an off-shoulder top paired with a flowy midi skirt is the way to go. This outfit is perfect for a breezy outdoor shoot. Add some statement earrings and strappy heels to complete the look.

5.       Graphic Tee with Ripped Jeans – Graphic tees are a great way to show off the things you love or sayings you like, and adding the ripped jeans give you a casual but trendy look. Pair the outfit with some tall boots or sneakers and tuck your shirt in to change up the style.

Bonus Attire: Floppy Hat, Straw Hat, High-Waisted Jeans, Sundress, Prom Dress, Blazer, Denim Shorts, Colored or Khaki Shorts, Layered Necklaces, Polo Shirt, Short Skirt, Chunky Necklaces, Sunglasses, Bracelets, College Attire, and Solid T-Shirts

Guys:

1.       Pastel Button-Down and Khaki Pants – Pastel colors are not just for girls. A light blue or mint green button-down paired with khaki pants will create a sophisticated and polished look. Roll up the sleeves for a more casual style and add some converse to finish off your outfit.

2.       Graphic Tee and Jeans – For a more casual look, a graphic tee with jeans is a great option. You can pair it with a denim or leather jacket and sneakers or high tops.

3.       Blazer and Dress Pants – For an extra sharp look, a blazer with dress pants and dress shoes is perfect for a more formal outfit.

4.       Linen Shirt and Shorts – Linen is a lightweight and breathable fabric, making it perfect for the warmer weather of spring. Pair a linen shirt with shorts for a relaxed and stylish look. Add some boat shoes to complete the outfit.

5.       Polo Shirt and Chinos – A classic polo shirt paired with chinos is a timeless look that is perfect for senior pictures. Choose a bright color polo to add a pop of color to the outfit and add some loafers to dress it up a bit more.

Bonus Attire: Watch, Baseball Cap, Cowboy Hat, Belt, V-Neck Sweaters, College Attire, Plaid Shirt, Bomber Jacket, Sunglasses, Sports Jersey, Boots, Beanie, Casual Button-Down Shirt, Cargo Shorts, V-Neck T-Shirts, and Ripped Jeans

Be sure to bring layers for your outfits, or jackets to wear while you walk around, because the weather in St. Louis can be unpredictable in the spring. Some days are warm while others can be chilly. You want to be prepared for any situation. Light and breathable fabrics will help keep you cooler on the more humid spring days. You can start with a light base layer then add a jacket, sweater, or cardigan for warmth. Layers that are easy to take off are best so that you don’t get too hot if it’s a warmer day, or easier to put on in case it gets a bit chilly. Plus, these layers help change up your outfits a bit during your session and can even double as props.

When it comes to your spring senior pictures your outfits should be comfortable, stylish, and weather appropriate. Be sure to show off your personality and have fun with your outfits. You should feel like yourself during your session, so only pick outfits that you love and make you feel confident.

For Jack’s session, he wanted to catch those last bit of fall leaves before they were completely gone, so he decided on going to The Muny in Forest Park. Jack and his family purchase season tickets to The Muny, and enjoy seeing the shows, so they thought it would be the perfect location for his senior pictures. We were also able to walk down around the pagoda and the creek to find plenty of fall colors still left, and even some rocks around the creek to work with. Something special Jack brought along was his old Porsche that he and his brother have driven. His brother is even a bit jealous that Jack got his senior pictures taken with the car. When it came to taking pictures with the Porsche, Jack had the perfect “cool guy” look that were the cherry on top of his portraits. Check out the images by scrolling down!

Paige wanted a short session to capture some fall colors in her senior pictures. When she found photos of the beautiful Victorian Bridge at Forest Park, she knew she had to have her portraits taken on it. She couldn’t have had a better session, because the time of day and the colors in the trees was so beautiful, it gave her the perfect background, and beautifully lit up her hair. Paige was easy to work with and loved doing walking portraits. She had the perfect amount of sass and personality for them. To view some more pictures from Paige’s session, scroll down.

Ella has such a passion for being a part of the theatre. The most important part of her session included visiting her high school and taking pictures in the school auditorium at Rickman. She also loves visiting Forest Park, so she wanted some beautiful portraits taken at the Jewel Box and memories captured outside The Muny since she loves to see the plays. She’s also a part of her high school marching band, so we incorporated her drumsticks into a few portraits at Rickman. Ella was such a joy to work with, with her sweet personality and easy-going attitude. To see some of the adorable pictures from her session, scroll down!

For Emily’s session, she wanted to bring along her VW Beetle, take some portraits in a wildflower field, snap some images with her kitty, and spend some time at Lafayette Park. We were able to accomplish just that by taking some of her portraits in her hometown and heading downtown for Lafayette Park. Emily has a soul from the 60’s, and I love how that showed in her images. Her personality was evident in each and every photo. She brought along a guitar that made the perfect prop and some fun heart sunglasses that complimented her outfits. Her favorite color is pink, so she made sure to incorporate pink into every outfit somehow. She even made her dress that she wore with the VW Beatle, and she is a Swifty so she had a whole Taylor Swift inspired outfit. Everything Emily did was so intentional to show off her personality and you can see it in the images below!
