Brennan | Fishing in a Rainstorm at Broemmelsiek Park

Brennan’s senior portrait session at Broemmelsiek Park was the perfect choice since it is a favorite local spot close to home where he loves to fish. We gathered around the lake and the open grassy fields to capture his senior portraits along with some updated family photos, but Missouri weather had a surprise in store for us!

A sudden downpour caught us on the far side of the lake, forcing us to high-tail it back to our cars under umbrellas with only about 30 minutes of shooting time checked off. When I talked to his mom afterward and told her we could easily split his remaining session time across the year, she was absolutely thrilled. She had no idea a multi-season senior portrait journey was even an option, turning a rained-out afternoon into a total win! Scroll down to see some of the pre-rain images I captured!
